This is based on a photo I took while on an Alaskan cruise. We journey up into the far nothern Yukon and I could not pass up this interest subject. The background is rusted steele.

Gerald Carpenter

Jerry Carpenter, born in Fairmont, West Virginia, educated at Berea College in Kentucky and Catholic University of America, moved from Washington, DC, to California in 2000. Working as an Information Technology professional is a stressful job; thus, in an effort to find peace I began painting watercolors under the tutelage of Ms. Bobbie Dixon as part of the Santa Clara Adult Education Program after moving to California. Since then, I have studied with other prominent artists. I began drawing and painting as a child, especially architecture. The medium of choice was Acrylics during his high school and college years. A developing career path caused him to long abandon the art. In recent years, the change to watercolor was a freeing...
