Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

This painting recently took second place in the Renaissance Watercolor painting contest! There are a limited number of watercolor paintings of subjects in this era so we are encouraged to bring new light to the Renaissance through watercolor painting.

Artist's Description

Painting inspired by a photo study taken during the Northern California Renaissance Faire in 2009. The background is a recreation of 1400-1500 painting styles. Since watercolor painting began in the late 1400's I wanted to create a scene that represented the style but had the complexity of watercolor.

Gerald Carpenter

Jerry Carpenter, born in Fairmont, West Virginia, educated at Berea College in Kentucky and Catholic University of America, moved from Washington, DC, to California in 2000. Working as an Information Technology professional is a stressful job; thus, in an effort to find peace I began painting watercolors under the tutelage of Ms. Bobbie Dixon as part of the Santa Clara Adult Education Program after moving to California. Since then, I have studied with other prominent artists. I began drawing and painting as a child, especially architecture. The medium of choice was Acrylics during his high school and college years. A developing career path caused him to long abandon the art. In recent years, the change to watercolor was a freeing...
